Civilization 4 Radeon Mobility 9000 framerate issues!

Hi, im a newbie but i couldnt find anyone else with anyproblems similar to mine. Basically when i first used Civilization 4 the game was fine and smooth but after i did something to the ATI tray tools included with omega (latest) the framerate has dropped to 10 or 11 no matter what i do with the options on both the game and tray tools. The reason im cofused is beacuse the game worked fine until now.... Civ 4 is appaling when it comes to ATI and the amazing omega drivers are the only ones which work with it!

If anyone has any advice on what i should do it would be great!

I have an old Alienware 51m with 1 gig of RAM and cpu is Intel Pentium 4 2.66 ghz with Radeon 9000 mobility 128 meg.
