anyone know what causes this in games (ss included)
anyone know what causes this to happen to textures when i'm playin stuff like Empire at War or Martial Heroes? see where everything is all just blocky and stuff instead of what suposed to be there? i'm runnin on an ATi mobility 9000
this is an ss i took from Star Wars Empire At War, you can see the blocks, and any help or advice will be much appreciated in advance, thanks times infinite!!!

Does this happen right away, or after a certain period of time? The reason is that heat would be my first culprit if that were the case. If you can, try raising the back or front of the laptop to allow some air to flow under it. Also, make sure that the fan, and any air holes are not clogged with dust.
However, as a test I would suggest trying newer graphics drivers due to the localized nature of the missing textures. BTW, what laptop do you have? |

texture failures are usually driver related,
if they were artifacts like tears across the screen / lines etc, then it would be heat or memory problems I would definitely try some different drivers, even if you go to older ones good luck
