NGO 6.4 and ATT Clock Issue on Mobility 9600
Hi driverheaven folks, (1st post, clear throat, cough, cough)
Yesterday I installed NGO's 6.4 on my laptop and I must say the driver is really awesome and performs very well on default settings. However, I found that ATI Tray Tools's Under-/Overclocking Settings always get magically overruled by the driver on my card. Let me give you an example: I've disabled powerplay in the CP and only use ATT for clock settings and so on. On normal desktop-use I'd like to have 104MHz Core and 104MHz Ram. However, when I start an 3d-intensive app the driver ramps up to default 340/230MHz although I would like to have it stay low. Same with overclocking. For example if I try a modest overclock of 380/240 and start the app (Aquamark/3DMark etc. u name it), it will always only run in default clock speeds, altough I don't have 2d/3d Auto-Overclocking or such enabled in ATT, and even OSD claims the card to be running in overclocked mode, but it doesn't ![]() On return to the desktop and putting the mouse pointer over the icon, it will show me my overclocked settings, but when I enter ATTs Overclocking Settings, the clockspeeds have, as if by magic, returned to their BIOS default values ![]() Never experienced anything like this with any modded driver set, and I tried a lot of them. Last version of DHZs gave me a BSOD upon installation, so I'd like to stick with NGO's, since they outperform any other set on my card.## Anyone had, or ever heard of this weird behaviour b4?? thx for your time quipster |
