missing tabs again...sorry

hi

my situation... laptop... x1400card with latest ati-catalyst installation...could connect to tv, but the signal was always little flickering and the tv was only black then...

unistalled 5 of 6 standardmonitors in the devicemanager...then every 3 seconds the laptop told me about ...new hardware found...standartmonitor...can´t be installed because the driver is not found...so i deinstalled the last standartmonitor and wanted to install a new standart monitor with the ati installation from dell (ati displaydrivers and catalyst...)...this ended with a fatal installation error...(use standart vga drivers...blabla) so i wanted to go to a installationpoint before, but this ended with bluescrenn after booting...only thing was booting in vgasave mode...then i repaired xp installation and now the system is running okai again with nearly no errors to the day before...

... then i installed the omegadrivers....everything was fine...after reboot, the tabs were away...trying to install the omegadrivers again ( without deinstalling them before...) didn´t work...

what do you think is the best way to get it again? must i deinstall old catalyst controlcenter installation first (still installed...)? deinstall omegadrivers first...use drivercleaner for what??

sorry but i´m new to ati...and it´s a bit complicated, because i don´t really know the difference between catalyst and omega (can i use both together?)

no you cant use both drivers together, catalyst is ATi's drivers, while Omega's are modified versions of the Catalyst.

thanks for your answer...

i got it to work... deinstalled omega and then catalyst and ati...rebootet to vga...ran drivercleaner and deleted all ati things...rebootet, installed ati without catalyst, then omega...and everything is okai...omegatabs are shown and tv connection is working...

hard fight with this ati jungle...thanks to drivercleaner...
