atiicdxx problem during installation

Hi! ^^
I tried to install the latest Omega Driver ( for my X700 Mobility
but i get this error, saying that the program couldn't find the atiicdxx.ini >.>

I always used Omega Driver, without a problem, but now i don't understand what to do.
Usually i search a bit the forum and or google and i find a solution, but this time no way to find someone.

Still the drivers look installed even without this piece and seems to work... so... i really don't understand what to do

edit: i forget to mention: ati mobility radon x700 having this issue with Omega driver 3.8.252

I had the same problem during installation:

Setup can not copy the file atiicdxx.ini

When I try to access my ati tray tools I get the error:

This application has failed to start because supoprt.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

I have tried uninstall the tray and reinstalling.

Reinstalling.

Nothing seems to work and each time I get the setup can not copy the file atiicdxx.ini

Please help. I have reinstalled chipset for Dell and tried to reinstall again after that.

I had the drivers installed on xp professional with no problems, but when trying to use them on xp home with service pack 1 installed i get the same missing file problem and no overclock options. Anyone got a clue why this is happening?

exclamation "aticdxx.ini" fix . . .

Hey guys, I was having the same problem as everyone else here . . . ATI CCC was kicking me out of the install, that really started pissing me off. Upon the suggestions of this site, I tracked down the Omega Driver, and upon installing in ran into the missing *.ini file problem. It took me a bit, but I found the file inside a .zip archive meant for a Dell machine. You can find the file at this link http://pcadvisor.drivermagic.com/p/n...ail.php?a=2932 all I did was scroll down to the bottom, select to "CLEAR ALL" and then go up a few lines and check only "BIN/atiicdxx.ini" then go back to the bottom, and choose to "Download Selected File". It'll give you an archive called "Dell+r54215.zip", although containing only the one file that you wanted. As requested by the install program, I put the file in "..\omega\2KXP_INF" and finished the install just fine.

Now instead of "VGA Adapter" I have an "ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700 (Omega 3.8.252)" installed per Windows Device Manager.

Hope I was some help.

Hi, I just had the same problems, but ... you can fix it easy.
I found two ways, there is the one menitoned above or ...
after the install, before you reboot, run the "setup.exe" in the "\Radeon Omega Drivers\v3.8.252" dir, it will install the video drivers again, now reboot, it should work fine after that.

This way is quicker, you just run the install manually

with regards to your question, i seem to have a problem installing drivers from ATi, it says that the Video Driver cannot be found(for normal Radeon drivers) and Your Hardware is Not Supported, Kindly refer to your notebook manufacturer(for installing a Mobility driver)
i'm currently using the softmodded omega catalyst 6.7(3.8.273) on a X1400 256MB Hypermemory.

Everything worked fine till few days ago. When I wanna play, lets say soccer there is hundreds of lines from every head on the pitch, when I wanna watch tv a picture goes crazy (the whole picture converts to little cubes hundreds of them). Also I noticed that when I`m turning on my windows (xp pro) on the first screen of it, on the logo of xp there are two vertical lines.
