Mobility x700 with Windows Vista beta 2 Problems

Hi everyone! I've installed recently the beta 2 (build 5384) and I've downloaded the beta2 drivers from ATI's page. When I've went to the display advanced settings where it is supposed to be the videocard chip, memory and dac and so on.. information all of them are unavaliable.. I don't know what to do! can someone help me? Because of that I can't play anygame, I can't even see google earth because it says my videocard doesn't have even 16mb of memory, everything with 3d graphics is going slow, VERY VERY slow.. can someone help me? or the problems is in my videocard??

Hello,

The issue sounds like a failed automatic driver installation. Go to the device manager and manually install the driver, you should find the driver in the c:\ati\support directory. They may have hidden the INF and driver files in the BIN directory.

Take care, have fun.

Randomness.

Don't worry about it I have a Mobility X700 and it says <unavailable> on all that stuff. I just don't think that has been built into the driver yet as acceleration is fully functional. But Google Earth throws up no errors for me.

Is Aero glass disabled as well?

In device manager does it have a yellow exclamation mark next to it, and have the following in device status:

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available."
