help

hey guys i need ur help. my graphics card is ati mobility radeon9000/9100 IGP. does anyone know where and how i can update it? do i have to download new drivers? i dont know much about computers.thnx

Most likely there is no upgrade solution unless your laptop manufacturerhad the option initially. Buy that upgrade through the manufacturer or Ebay. I bought a replacement via Ebay a couple months back myself, same card to fix a broken one.

As for drivers and the 9000's, I'd say Omega drivers. You can get that download - here -. The author's website is - here -. The other option is to use the DH Mod tool you can download off the Driver Heaven website and mod the standard ATI drivers to work with a Mobility chipset, you can get info about that - here -.

Be aware though that some laptops, especially those with Radeon cards older than the 9550 are not supported any longer. If that is the case try the Omega 5.6 versions. That was the latest that supported my 9000 and LCD. Compaq x1000 model in particular and some Acers I know of have issues with the LCD not being detected by the new drivers and it garbles the screen.
