Problem With ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 Using Compaq X1000

Hello, I'm new to these forums so for now I will use the name 'ShadowedElf'. Well I have a Compaq x1000 with an ATI Mobility Radeon 9200, 512mb ram and a 1,4ghz centrino procecor. Yeah its not that great but it gets the job done. Anyways, I was playing WoW and I was experiencing a few problems for the 4th or 5th time (flashing buildings, water everywhere, ect.) so I found your forum on google and I read a couple of posts about omega drivers so I downloaded them. After the restart, I had like 3 screens, 3 mouses, ect. And it was all fuzzy and flashing, ect. So then I unistalled the omega drivers and now I'm stuck here. My screen looks perfect now BUT everything is big due to the resolution. When I right click > properties > settings it sais "(Multiple Monitors) on Mobility Radeon 9200 and below it is on 640 by 480 pixels resolution with 8 bit color quality which is obviously a problem. At first, I saw that it said "Multiple Monitors" so I tried to click it to chose "default monitor" or whatever else is supposed to be there but it doesn't let me click it so I try to change the resolution/bit color quality but it gives me this error message "The display control pannel is unable to change the display settings. You may not have appropriate administrative rights to change these settings." but the thing is, there is only 2 accounts on this computer and IAM an adminstrator, so then I click ok and get another error message which reads "The display settings being saved are invalid. Please try a different combination of display settings." so I click ok too. Then I click "troubleshoot" and I see my exact problem at the bottom of the page but nothing helps. And I see there is a lot of smart people here so can someone please help me with my problem?

The only known drivers that work with the x1000 are based on the Catalyst 5.6 or older. Omega 5.6 work well and have for a long time. Unfortunately 5.7 and beyond have that messed up screen like you were saying.
