Omega Driver Problems on my MobilityX600

I recently installed Omega 3.8.252 on my 3.4 Ghz Intel Pentium 4, 1 GB Ram, X600 Mobility Radeon laptop. It runs games on my 1440 x 900 (Widescreen) display really well so long as the display game settings are at 1440 x 900. However, when I attempt to play games on full screen at any resolution lower (eg 1024x768 or 800 x 600) the screen goes completely black and white slowly filters past like a wave. I went into the omega setings and changed it to "Expand while mainting aspect ration" and this solved a lot of the game problems. However, when i run BF2 now no matter what i do I get that crazy screen. Can someone help me fix this problem? Should I re-install omega or do something else? Any help would be hugely appreciated.

It's fairly important to have the latest chipset drivers installed for your mainboard. Have you tried getting the latest motherboard chipset drivers from manufacturer of your laptop specifically for your model and installing them?

I have the exact same problem. Except my issue starts in the lower left hand part of the screen. I also get a "plad like" pattern on my screen sometimes.

I have Gateway 7510GX with AMD 64 3700+, 1 gig mem, ATI Mobility 600x, 100 gb HD

I'm not at all familiar with this problem. So, bear with me while I suggest something to try. It 'almost' looks like an overheating issue but not quite. So, to rule out any overheating, take the laptop and place it onto something like a baking rack. Make sure there's a good airflow beneath it even if you have to take a small fan to do so.

Once you have things set up with this airflow going beneath the laptop, see if the problem repeats. Of course, if it does, it means either, there is no overheating problem OR there's still not enough airflow.

So, see if you can create enough sufficient airflow to eliminate the problem or at least determine whether it's an overheating situation or not.

Good luck!
