Hello:

This has been an ongoing issue with Patje's mod tool and the Radeon IGP 3xx (m) series chipsets.

For now, here is a work around:

Copy the text inside the dotted lines below, and paste it into notepad. You can start notepad by clicking start--> run --> notepad
Click "Save As"
Make sure you have the "Save as type" set to "All Files"
Save the file to your desktop, with the name "opengl.reg"
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\OpenGLDrivers]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\OpenGLDrivers\ati2dvag]
"Version"=dword:00000002
"DriverVersion"=dword:00000001
"Flags"=dword:00000001
"Dll"="atioglxx.dll"
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Right-Click on the new "opengl.reg" file on your desktop, and click "Merge"
Click "YES" to the following prompt.
You may have to restart your computer before the settings take effect.

Hopefully this will restore the OpenGL rendering settings, and allow you to play OpenGL based games.

Good luck, and take care.

Hello:

Please reference my previous posts in my thread, titled "The EPIC legacy of the Radeon IGP 320M / 340M / 345M and related chips out there...."

The information you need specifically can be found on this page.

Post # 154.

Your system should also be compatible with the same ATi GART (AGP Bus driver) from HP because the chipsets use the same interfaces in most notebook designs that use the Radeon IGP 3xxM chips as a northbridge.

It is important that you clean out your system with drivercleaner Pro AFTER you unistall them through the Add/Remove Programs applet in Windows XP Control Panel.

The Catalyst Mobility 5.13b does not need to be modded, and has the correct INF information to provide full software support for OpenGL and DirectX. However, there have been reports where the package will not install on its own, so you will need to follow the instructions regarding how to "manually install" a driver using device manager.

Good luck, and take care.
