Nowonmai is on a distinguished road

Mod tool and drivers installed perfectly...however

However (isn't there always one?) Every thing runs fine, except if Itry to play a DVD, I get "Failure to initialse video stream". I rolled back to earlier Radeon driver, and all is well again. I looked in the forums, and all I found with that error message was viewing TV, and the guy was having other problem that I am not. Is it just a matter of reinstalling DVD programs? Acer Extensa 2.6ghZ, 1.5 gigsram, 80gig hd, ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 Series

System Specs

Hello:
Try updating your notebook's BIOS. This has resolved the playback issues in other notebooks using similar (9600/9700) graphics.

You could also try configuring your DVD decoder to use VMR (Video mixing Renderer), but not all DVD Decoders have the option to choose between Overlay or VMR. I use Sonic CinePlayer to work around this issue. I have also heard success with older versions of PowerDVD.

Take care, and Good luck.
