Helpppp... :[
Hey guys.
I have an ATI IGP 320M video card on my laptop. It's integrated of course, and pretty crappy. I did the instructions with the tool by that guy who modded it or whatever. And now it says ATI MOBILITY IGP 320M in my Device Manager. But when I try to play World of Warcraft (the reason I installed these drivers in the first place) it says "World of Warcraft was unable to start up 3D acceleration. Please make sure DirectX 9.0 is installed and your video drivers are up-to-date." DirectX 9.0 is installed but I don't know what else is wrong... Please help

Hello, Welcome to DriverHeaven.net
From the sounds of it, i am assuimg you used Patje's mod tool if you see "ATI Mobility IGP 320M" in your device manager. There are some cases where the tool does not mod the drivers properly. I would suggest you do the following: Uninstall the ATi Drivers through Add/Remove programs in Control panel. Download DriverCleaner Pro, and run a cleaning cycle using the "ATi" filter. Download ONE of the following drivers: ATi Mobility Catalyst 5.13b from here directly: http://www.station-drivers.com/telec...-2kxp-whql.exe Or my modded version of ATi Catalyst 6.4 here: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/showthre...=96497&page=13 Reference Post # 188 Both drivers have been modded to support the Radeon IGP 320M for most notebooks. (however it has been discussed in the "Epic Legacy ..." thread that DVD playback is not possible using an Overlay renderer based decoder. It is recommend you use a VMR enabled DVD decoder (PowerDVD, CinePlayer) if you want DVD playback) In either case you will have to make sure that you install a compatible ATi GART (AGP Bus) Driver My modded 6.4 drivers comes with the GART driver and instructions on how to install both display and the GART through Device manager. You can also download the following GART drivers from HP: http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/fi...oad/21127.html These drivers aren't HP-Hardware Specific. They will work with the standard AGP BUS that is present for all systems using the Radeon IGP 320M. However the software installing program may not work, so you may need to manually update the driver for the "PCI Standard PCI-to-PCI bridge" device under "system devices" in Device Manager If you still encounter problems, more information on your system hardware will be required. (System make / model...etc) Hope this is helpful. Good luck and have fun. - Randomness |
