Mobility Radeon 9700 issue

Hi!

I bough an AMILO M1424 two years ago with MR9700. Manufacturer drivers are out of date (from dec 2004 !!!) and I cant download ATI updates... The thing is that Omega drivers run well, but a strange issue happens...

During installation and after it, on screen setting, the identified videocard is a Radeon 9500 instead of the Mobility Radeon 9700 I really have !! Is it normal? Has any effect on final performance?? Is there any way of resolving this mess?
