New Omega Drivers
Hey, I just started using the Omega Drivers about a month ago and definitely prefer the ATI Tray Tools over CCC, however I am having a slight problem with the newer Omega Drivers. Version 3.8252 works flawlessly but with versions 3.8273 and 3.8291 a small glitch has developed: The screen no longer shuts off when I close the monitor on my laptop. I have tried the official mobility drivers from ATI (6.8 and 6.9) and neither have this same problem, so am wondering if this is easily fixable?
My comp is an Inspiron 6000 with x300. I appreciate any help that you can give me. |

it's probably missing the reg value to set that, I'll look into it for you and see if I can't find you a definitive answer in the next day or so

That would be great. Thank you. Somebody suggested going in and changing some lines in the INF, but I do not really know what I am doing, so am a little hesitant to try it.

Yes I responded to that thread, but do not think it is the same problem because mine is just with the new Omega Driver Version, and no previous driver. I also read through that TweakGuide but did not come across any said solution for my problem.
Any suggestions? |

did you somehow ended the ati2evxx.exe and the ati2sgag.exe processes? those are needed for the laptop lcd to function as normal like when you close the lid, the monitor shuts off by itself.
