hello everybody,

i am using a radeon mobility 9700 on a dell inspiron 9200 with its 1920x1200 screen (not external). since i installed omega 3.8.291 i am having the problem that - apart from the max resolution of 1920x1200 - no widescreen resolution shows correctly. there are various different errors occurring, depending on the resolution. they read

- picture is not scaled to screen size
- only horizontal scaling (does not repect the aspect ratio, hence useless)
- goes to panning mode (some of which are even buggy; it was the first time i saw an lcd screen flicker...)

unfortunately there is no resolution like 960x600 available, which is exactly a quarter of the max resolution. i am almost sure this would work.

with my dell driver i didnt have such problems. unfortunately the most recent dell driver is now more than a year old...

btw, the changes to the monitor settings suggested by the omega faq dont have any effect.

i would be great if somebody could help out because 1920x1200 is not a realistic option for current games... at least not on my old machine
