cwarenda is on a distinguished road

exclamation ati2dvag.dll BSoD message - Rad9600

Hello!

I'm running into a problem wiht a newly installed mobility radion 9600 on a Dell Inspiron 8600. I uninstalled the previous Nvidia Drivers and everything - installed the card, and installed the latest drivers from dell's website. after i install the drivers and restart, it gives me a Blue Screen of Death that states - ati2dvag.dll in a loop - or something of that sort. I tried installing a earlier version of the driver software - and it didnt work.

I would appriciate any help with this matter.
Thank you!
Chris

Hello:

Uninstall the ATI drivers, and than run DriverCleaner Pro, using the "Multiple" filter feature, use the ATI, and NVidia filters. Restart you system, you may need to run the filters again if the ati*.dll files are present in c:\windows\system32.

You can get a copy of DriverCleaner Pro from http://www.drivercleaner.net

I would recommend making your own modded mobility drivers using patje's modder which you can find from http://www.hardwareheaven.com/patje.

You could also try downloading a copy of the actual ATI Mobility Catalyst, by searching for it. You can usually get a copy from here:

Here is a direct download link, but i doubt it will work for long:

I would also suggest you make sure your notebooks BIOS is also update.

Good luck, and take care.

Note: you do these suggestions at your own risk. Especially with respect to BIOS updating.
