Trouble with 7000 IGP and New LCD

Hey, everyone. Hope you can help a newbie. Just got an 22" Acer LCD which looks fabulous when I hook it up to my Dell (graphics controller: Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME) -- but when I hook it up to my Toshiba, equipped with an ATI Mobility Radeon 7000 IGP, it looks terrible. The text flickers and solid colors look static-y.

Any suggestions?

I've tried updating the driver, but ATI doesn't appear to support it any longer.

Is there a setting I can tweak?
