Omega drivers on Mobility X1400
Hey,
yesterday I went through some threads to check which driver would be the best for my x1400, since I couldn't find any on ati.com After I went through the Threads, I decided to install the Omega drivers, since that is what a lot of people recommended in their posts. After installing them, though, I had problems playing certain games etc. Most of the times, applications just crashed, and plenty of times I got to that blue screen, where they tell u to contact ur hardware manufacturer because the drivers might not be installed properly. I did uninstall the CCC and the mobility x1400 drivers in the control panel "add/remove programs" before I installed the omega drivers. I clicked the one that said "uninstall ATI Radion Mobility X1400 graphic card". After that I restarted. As soon as the computer started up again, it found a new hardware and automatically installed it, so that the card showed up in "add/remove....". I uninstalled it again, started up again and same problem. Then I decided to just go ahead and install them and what happened I mentioned above. Please help me out. Thank you. |

What make and model of laptop do you have, and what named device shows up under "Display adapters" in the Device Manager?

The problem has been solved - I was only supposed to uninstall the CCC, not the actual drivers. Thanks, though.
