Omega drivers on Mobility X1400

Hey,
yesterday I went through some threads to check which driver would be the best for my x1400, since I couldn't find any on ati.com

After I went through the Threads, I decided to install the Omega drivers, since that is what a lot of people recommended in their posts.
After installing them, though, I had problems playing certain games etc. Most of the times, applications just crashed, and plenty of times I got to that blue screen, where they tell u to contact ur hardware manufacturer because the drivers might not be installed properly.

I did uninstall the CCC and the mobility x1400 drivers in the control panel "add/remove programs" before I installed the omega drivers. I clicked the one that said "uninstall ATI Radion Mobility X1400 graphic card".
After that I restarted. As soon as the computer started up again, it found a new hardware and automatically installed it, so that the card showed up in "add/remove....". I uninstalled it again, started up again and same problem. Then I decided to just go ahead and install them and what happened I mentioned above.

Please help me out.
Thank you.

System Specs

What make and model of laptop do you have, and what named device shows up under "Display adapters" in the Device Manager?

The problem has been solved - I was only supposed to uninstall the CCC, not the actual drivers. Thanks, though.
