Laptop screen not turning off when i close the lid

Hey everyone,
new to these forums...
I installed the Omega Drivers and I seem to have ran into an issue where when i close my lid, the power of the LCD still stays on?...how do i go about fixing this?...the laptop i have is:

Dell Inspiron 6000 w/ the centrino processor and i am running Omega Drivers v. 3.8.291
The gfx card is the ATI Radeon Mobility x300 (128 mb ram)

Thanks,

I had the same problem w/my i8100. The solution was to compare Dell's inf and the new driver's inf, and then add the changes to new inf.

Aloha TariGand,

The location of the INF for the ATi Catalyst 7.1 Driver... should be at "
C:\ATI\support\7-1_xp_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_40211\Driver\2KXP_INF ", after the "Setup program" extraction...

If I remember right, the Omega INF should be located in the Program Folder... "
C:\Program Files\Radeon Omega Drivers\"version #"

There was another Dell I-6000 user that has posted about this problem, previously...
Awhile back, I posted at the end of "his DellTalk thread"... about modifying the INF, also.

He also had a post, in this forum, about this problem ("click here") and received some replies.

I don't know if he ever resolved this problem...

Aloha,
Rod

Here's the file I keep around for new drivers. You basically just add it to the end of the section for the M7 (which is mobility 7500 card):

But I should point -- that's for the 7500 only. For your X300, you should download whatever driver Dell has and then put it's SoftwareDevice_Settings into the inf file for the driver you want to install.
