Catalyst 7.2 on x1900 Mobility (Alienware)

Does anyone know how to get the 7.2 mobility catalist downloaded and working on a x1900 256 mobility n an alienware laptop? The darn mobility installer from the Ati website says it wont install. even tho alienware is an AtI partner... Fkn redicioulous...

DO i have to mod these things to make them work???

Oddly enuff the culprit is ATI... I found out the 7.2's have NO x1900 support in the INF files.. WTF?!?!? How can ATi have on their homepage, the flagship x1900 fastest mobile chipset yada yadda, and NOT include them in the 7.2's.. Considering I have had the laptop for a few weeks now...

So i got the 7.2's working using the force method (manual update drivers in control panel), but its listed as an x1800 now and im wondering if the speeds its runing are correct (one would think they are since that is not driver controlled per say)...

if you modify the .inf file, you don't have to force as a X1800, it is very well recognized as mobility X1900
