AGP Aperture Size: The culprit?

So, I've always had some strange games-related issues which I have been unable to explain (random, brief stuttering from time to time, even when the FPS has been hovering at 40+), but I think I've found the culprit: my AGP aperture setting.

How low is it? Oh, 32 MB. Yikes.

Problem is, this is on a notebook, which means the BIOS is crap (thanks HP), and I cannot change this value in the BIOS. Do I have any hope (or can this even be causing performance issues such as above?), noble DH posters?
