Presario 2700 Series ATI M6-P Issue

Hi I am a newbie and wodering if there is a way around to resolve my current issue.
I have Compaq Presario 2715US laptop which got ATI M6-P display card in it. I can get maximum 1400*1050 with it but my laptop panel doesn't support it, it goes beyond the screen. So I use lesser one.
Recently I got Norcent 19 inch widescreen flat panel which support 1440 * 900 max resolution. Now to get this resoltion out of my laptop I need some help from you-GURU guys. I tried installing Omega's latest driver but no luck. So far I am still stuck with my provider's driver settings. So if anyone of you have any idea to get widescreen resolution working on my laptop, please advice me.

Hi after a lot of research, I figured out the answer for this. First of all if anyone is wondering what type of Graphic card ATI M6-P is, then I got a answer from HP's CS that its ATI Catalyst 6.11 something. So I downloaded Omega driver for same one (Catalyst 6.11) from archieves. And its working, I can get the resolution of 1440 X 900 from my laptop to my 19" Flat Panel and it looks pretty good now.
I hope this well help for people like me who are looking for anwer from long time.
