Is it possible to play C&C 3: Tiberium Wars?

I downloaded the Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars demo and installed it this morning. When I tried to start the game, it told me that either I needed a newer version of DirectX or my graphics card was insufficient. My computer is completely up to date ( I double checked) so I knew it was not the DirectX holding me back. Then, I checked what I was hoping was not my problem: my graphics card. Yes, you guessed it, in my excitement I didn't bother to check or even consider the minimum system requirements and a better card than my ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 is needed to run the demo.

Obviously, i have an ATI Mobility card because I use a laptop as my only PC. It is an IBM T41 that is about 2.5 years old now. I manage it fairly well and it runs well for my current needs. I do not plan on upgrading to either another laptop or desktop for at least another year. Therefore, I'm stuck with what I have in front of me. So, I was wondering a couple things. First, is it possible to somehow play the C&C 3 demo with this graphics card? If so, how? And, if not, is it possible to upgrade my laptop to be able to handle this game? If so, what would I need.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone may be able to provide.
