TV Out with Omegas

I recently moved to the Omega 6.05 drivers from my stock Dell Radeon drivers. Now whenever I use the s video TV out function my resolution on the desktop doesn't automatically change to 1024x768 to sync with the 1024x768 on the TV. When I switch to the TV out function with the Omegas, the resolution on my laptop stays at 1280xs1024 while the resolution is 1024x768 on the TV and this creates a problem to where I can't even fullscreen a .mpeg or .avi movie file and see the whole thing in Windows Media Player. The problem however is fixed by manually changing the resolution to 1024x768 while using the TV out, but I was wondering if anyone knows how to set the driver to automatically adjust to 1024x768 on the laptop screen instead of it staying at the 1280x1024 resolution?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Greetings and welcome to DriverHeaven!

This is an odd problem because usually it's the other way around. I've been a user of Omega's drivers (and other 3rd party drivers) for years now and I normally have just the reverse of what you describe. That is, my Desktop screen automatically reduces to 1024x768 whenever I enable the TV Out. In order to eliminate this, I have to uncheck the "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" option under the Monitor tab. This is located by Right clicking a blank space on the Desktop, then select Properties at the bottom of the popup menu. Then click the Settings tab followed by selecting the Advanced button near the bottom right. On the next popup menu select the Monitor tab. If you already have a checkmark in the option I listed, you may have to additionally select Use DDC.

This would be found (if you're using ATT) in the Display/Settings option for the monitor. Right click the ATT icon, scroll up to Display and then slide over and select Settings. Click the DDC option for the monitor.

Good luck!
