Slight upsetting problem with dual view and extended desktop.
For some reason the drivers are detecting my External nonitor as my main monitor. And refuses to detect the Laptop LCD as a monitor.
Even if I boot with the external mon disconected, the catalist conrol panel list the external as the main mon and has no reference to the laptops own LCD. The minute I plug the ext mon in and try to enable extended desktop. The laptop LCD switches off and the desktop jumps to the ext mon and simply pretends that the LCD is non existant.
Under XP the Omega drivers kick butt. This notebook plays Unreal Tornament, Quake 4 Arena and NFS Carbon/Black perfectly on relatively great quality settings.
The point is it is not the laptop, it must be the the catalyst software or driver.
If I load the XP drivers under Vista it works but is unstable.

Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it.

ps: My notebook is 2 yrs old and I have just switched to Vista. It works perfectly under XP.
I have tried this on Vista Ultimate and Enterprise with exactly same results
