Ati X1250 can't do 1680x1050

Got an onboard X1250 on MSI's K9AGM2-FIH motherboard.

The included drivers react to 1680x1050 by giving me a screen where i can't see the corners. It's bigger than the screen, and i have to scroll the mouse around to see the whole screen.

If take ATI's latest Catalyst 7.5 drivers. I get a Black Screen Out of Sync when go 1680x1050.

(It worked fine on my old Intel915 chipset, so it's not that my screen can't do it. Belinea 20.1" TFT 1680x1050 60Hz it is)

Anyone ?. HELP

i have a similiar problem, using a Dell E1505/x1400 and a external monitor.

after i installed Omega 7.4, my external (native res of 1680x1050) will no longer preperly display that resolution. with the omegas it would display shaky text, and the desktop would go off screen, where you would have to scroll the edge to see the taskbar. under display properties, it stated my res was 1680x1050, but under the dual display controls, it reads my external is running 1520x1050. i uninstalled, ran driver cleaner, reinstalled, and still had the problem.

then i decided to try the DH tool, and installed catalyst 7.5; when i try under display properties to set my resolution at 1680x1050, my monitor goes blank, and the monitor gives me an error on screen (Dell 2007wfp) saying its unable to display, try setting at 1680x1050/60hz. if i open the ATI control panel, 1680x1050 is not even an option, it only goes to 1440x1050.

so, thats where i am at... i have not tried the old drivers again, i was thinking about a reinstall of the OS, and trying the 7.5 again, i could tell a big difference in it and the Omegas... actually ran much better for me.

alright, i just reinstalled the Omega 7.1 (38330) and my display works properly again.
