LCD Monitor Shuts Off

I just installed the newest Omega drivers and when i close my laptop lid it shuts off my dvi output to my lcd monitor. My notebook isn't set to hibernate when the lid is closed. Is there a setting I'm missing that is causing the lcd to turn on when this is closed?
