Mobility X300 with Vista

Hey guys,
I'm having a problem with my X300.
I'm using the HP Compaq NC6230 laptop, and I downloaded the ATI driver from the hp website.
However, when I try to play counter-strike, and I try to use OpenGL as my video mode.. i get an error warning saying that it doesn't support OpenGL and will run in software mode. Direct3D works though.
Any input?

I also tried using the Mobility Modder with the newest ATI drivers...
but at the end of the installation, after everything seemed to be okay,
it said there was an error so i clicked on "view log" and it failed to install the display driver... what could I be doing wrong there?
