Off-color video and number in corner of video/3D images (Omega driver, mobility 9200)

This is a strange problem to search for...

I installed the Omega Drivers for my Sony laptop with a Mobility 9200 so I could get optimal resolution on external monitors (a 19" widescreen). I was really glad with this fix, however it has created a slight problem. Certain video files will play in off colors (green or violet tint), with these numbers in the corner that change all the time. This also occurs in software that I use to render 2D/3D images and plots.

Does anybody know what can cause this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

-Brad

Ouch!

I'm going to have to move this to the Mobility forum. Hopefully, someone there can help you.

As far as the numbers go, it looks as though you have the FPS option active either with the ATT or some other program, e.g. FRAPS, that shows the FPS during any 3D activity.

Yeah that is ATT's fps indicator alright... But why the video is like that I don't have any clue ...

Add the player (and the other applications in which you don't want to see the FPS indicator) to the ignorelist: ATT - Hardware -Auto Overclocking - Exclude.
Also try to disable the WMV acceleration: ATT - Tweaks - Standard Tweaks - System - untick WMV acceleration. I'm not sure if this will fix the colors because the "bad WMV acceleration" videos are usually green, but give it a try. You can enable it again if it won't help.

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I wonder of that color disruption could be due to a faulty connection. ??? I know I have a 2ne CRT connected and its cable is pretty old. If it gets loose it will cause some color weirdness similar to what that image shows.

In that case the whole picture would be affected. The player itself looks correct on the screenshot - only the video frame is bad.

Sorry, haven't checked back in a while.

I checked the standard tweeks as suggested by RoyBatty, but the box was already unchecked.

So, are you still having the problem? Check to make sure none of the pins on the connectors are bent.

Well, I never have removed my video card. I'm not even sure how it is setup (physically; integrated vs not), or where it is located in my laptop.

and I still have this issue.
