ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP for Acer
Hey all,
I am trying to begin OpenGL coding, which requires me to upgrade my graphics drivers (I heard the new drivers are where I get the GL .dll). I have an Acer Extensa Notebook, with an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP. I went to the ATI site and they didn't list the 9000 in the mobility range. I downloaded the non-Mobility Radeon 9000 graphics card, but the installer screwed up (It told me to uninstall my current drivers, then complained that I didn't have VGA drivers :S). The Acer website doesn't look like it supports the Extensa series any more. Where can I get these drivers? |

Download the 6.11 drivers from ati (you'll have to find them OR you can go through the desktop driver seleciton page, select the Radeon 9000 for example)...
download them Now on Driverheavens MAIN Home age, on the left handside is the Mobility Modder. Read through, download, and run through it. You should THEN be able to update your drivers

tryed to do that...2 mistakes:
1 - Inf error video driver not found 2 - setup was enable to complete the installation. Try to set up your display adapter witha standard VGA driver before running setup. I have a Acer Notebook travelmate 2702. ati mobility radeon 9000 igp And I was trying to actualize the drivers as the notebook has 2 years what could be wrong?

First off, With the ati drivers, you must :
in the Add and Remove programs 1: Remove the ATI Catalyst control center (don't reboot) 2: Remove ATI Driver (Don't Reboot) 3: Remove ATI Uninstall utility (reboot) The install using the mobilty modder directions.
