ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 on Acer Ferrari 3000LMi using Windows Vista Ultimate

Ive been having trouble with this graphics card ever since ive had this laptop and with vista its got even worse! I have just downloaded and installed mobility modder and downloaded the most up to date catalyst 7.8 but still no joy it just says its using "ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)" and its from 31/07/2006 can someone please tell me if its possible to update this and how to do it? I know im probably never going to get aero glass but I want to play Elder scrolls.
