I know Bioshock plays on my T7200 (2.0ghz) C2D mobility x1600 laptop. So I am only asking if the hotfix will load on said laptop, it ups the frame rates on other cards. I have the actual 7.8 mobility drivers from ati using the back door to bypass the manufacturer check. I could mobility mod it if that would work, thanks to all the hard work on the mobility modder program. yet again thanks for making that one.

I want to know about this too, I actually need the hotfix. How can I install the hotfix whilst using the latest Omega drivers?

I can't imagine anyway you will be able to use the Hotfix with Omegadrivers. The O/Ds are based on an earlier version of the drivers....7.4, I believe. The ATI/AMD Hotfix is based on the official 7.8s. If you want to use the hotfix, you'll have to use official drivers modded for your mobility setup.

As it stands right at this very minute, I wouldn't hold my breath for newer Omegadrivers, either. Don't take that as official word, though. I know I've been a fan of his drivers for many years and hope he continues to work on and provide updated drivers.

If you need optimized drivers, try the NGO Drivers: ATI Radeon HD2900 HD2600 HD2400 X1950 X1650 NVIDIA GeForce 8800 8600 8400 7950 7600

I tried those NGO drivers, they're junk and I got nothing but errors after installation.

The Omega drivers are the only ones that work flawlessly for me, even the official ones from ATI still have that MOM.exe error crap going on.

Please could you tell me how you managed to get the driver "using the back door"?
