Ati mobility 9000

I have a dell inspiron 600m with an ati mobility 9000 card.

I was just wondering, anybody who has an ati mobility 9000, using catalyst 6.11 work well in cs:source or half-life, cuz they promp me to update driver, and ati stopped making drivers up-to date, jsu modded drivers like omege..

thx

Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven.

You might want to give a shoot to DH Mobility Modder.net and mod the newer drivers with it.

Hmm... I would say that try some older 7.XX series catalyst drivers and use the mobility modder to add the support in them. I would say that CAT 7.4 would do fine.

I'm not sure if teme is directing you correctly on this. The 9000 series cards are DirectX 8 cards and ATI stopped supporting DX8 cards over a year ago. They did, however, make the CAT 6.11s available for the older cards.

Sooo....my thinking is you are going to have to use something based on CAT 6.11 for the latest support for that card.

Thanks dyre. I did look the DH Mobility Modder.NET and it does have the modding support for those older DX8 chips.
