no Direct3D for ATI Radeon IGP 345m

I have a Sony Vaio PCG-K74 notebook. I have tried several different custom drivers to upgrade the lame original ones. I have gotten it working before. The problem now is that the newest Omega drivers(VERY COOL) are not signed by Mocrosoft. They are not Direct 3D compatible. I have tried replacing and rolling back drivers.. but no good.

It seems to me that the main reason to upgrade the drivers is Direct 3D games. Every (non-D3D) graphics application that I have used runs great. Can someone inform me as to how I can get the latest Omega drivers running with Direct 3D?

Welcome to DH.

Thats a pretty old card, so you're not going to find support in recent drivers. Good news is, you can always download older versions and see what you get. New drivers probably wouldn't work as well as the old ones anyway, given they aren't designed with your card in mind.

My guess is you might want to try something from the 4.xx series (The 4.12 Omega's being my personal favorites). I think I even remember someone using the old DHZP 5.13s and getting good results. Good luck.

thank God, i google and found out this post, 5 days been searching video drivers that will work on cabal online game coz im getting a black or too dark scenes which is obviously impossible to play. the desktop brightness or gamma is not in sync with that game.

i owned a laptop sony vaio pcg-k315m with ati radeon igp 345m (64mb) with an old driver i think upgraded in 2004 and reading this post i tried to dl using DHZP 5.13s (Zer0point 0.513B (Catalyst 5.13) which vikingod mentioned and it works!!! thanks!!!
