ATI Mobility Fire GL V5250

Hi all,
I'm having following problem - VEEERY annoying.
I have:
IBM lenovo t60
1.5 GB ram
2,3 GHz cpu
graphic card - ATI Mobiliti Fire GL V5250
The problem is that when I'm using Blender - open source tool for 3d. Software is using openGL. So after a while of using the soft. tho program just slows down. I have checked almost everywhere and the problem is ATI and openGL. But how can I fix it? I have tried many things but no success
