2400XT not working with vista upgrade

Hi
I 've just bought an Acer TM6592G-702G25Mn in the UK. I asked the vendors to upgrade it from XP Pro to Vista ultimate, which they did.

Problem is that the ADI Mobility Radeon HD 2400XT graphic card does not seem to be recognised. Please see these screenshots.
The vendors aren't much help. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can rectify this myself?

Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven!

As far as I know the drivers for your card must come from Acer, since ATi/AMD don't provide Vista drivers for mobility chipsets, or you could use the mobility modder to modify the offcial desktop Catalyst drivers.
If you decide to do that remember to read the instructions first and make sure that you have all the MS components installed that are needed.
Get the mod tool here : http://www.hardwareheaven.com/modtool/

many thx for the promp response.

Laptops Direct who are acer dealers didn't tell me that when I had it upgraded. I will try the modder thing cos LD aren't very technically helpful.

I will let you know.
