help using the modder for x1700 mobility

Ok, so i have been trying to get the modder to work and i've gotten to step 3, but thats where i get stuck. i don't know what this desktop driver is that i'm supposed to download... i am on a laptop right and i have no idea what driver i'm supposed to find do this step. if anybody could explain that step a bit better or guide me through it i'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

System Specs

Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven!

The desktop driver is the normal Catalyst driver suite.

For XP Pro 32-bit get it here : AMD GAME! Drivers and Utilities
For Vista 32-bit get it here : AMD GAME! Drivers and Utilities

and make sure that you have all the components that are needed to run the mod tool

hi, nice to see new faces.

Firstly, you are going to need to take a few breaths and explain exactly what you don't understand.

The mobility modding tool is a program to add infs for mobility chipsets which ATI can't support offically. this means if your laptop maker is slow on releasing drivers for your machine then this tool will mod any new set from ATI to work for you. so you get bug fixes and all the nice stuff ATI keep improving, right as they do it.

Any problems let us know and we will do our best to help.
