How do I uninstall new ATI drivers and go back to my old?
Ok well I tried all these new ATI drivers on my Toshiba P30, because the old ones caused graphical glitches. But the new drivers that I got from OmegaDrivers.net are just going to the blue screen and restarting my labtop while I play World of Warcraft, so I want to go back to my old ATI drivers.
But, whenever I uninstall the new ones from OmegaDrivers.net, and try to install the old video drivers I get a warning message that says "Setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration. Please make sure you have the required hardware or software." Anybody know what is causing this? And I can't do a system restore to before I installed these new drivers because my labtop doesn't have a system restore that far back, it only has it for one day back. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 2/13/2008, 23:45:31 Machine name: ******************** Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: TOSHIBA System Model: Satellite P30 BIOS: Phoenix NoteBIOS 4.0 Release 6.1 Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.40GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 1022MB RAM Page File: 441MB used, 2019MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.2180 32bit Unicode --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: ATI Mobility Radeon X600 (Omega 3.8.442) Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc. I started my labtop up in safe mode uninstalled all the new ATI drivers and then restarted in safe mode again and started up Driver Cleaner and cleaned out every ATI item I saw and then restarted in normal mode and it finally let me install my old drivers. :P
