Please help me know how mobility x1600 works

Hi there, sorry for my English - I'm not a native.
First of all - Asus sucks, cause drivers in they www is [COLOR=#999999]2006/07/20 update.

I have Asus A7JC laptop with ATI mobility readeon X1600.

Found on google about Mobility Modder. And did everything step by step. But nothing happens and I still have some stripes in game (GR:AW2).
Don't know what I doing wrong.
Install official ATI drivers from cd, which I get with laptop.
Then using Mobility Modder. Reboot computer, but drivers still the same.
Through Catalyst Control Center I can't download any updates, cause getting error, that Asus do not support.
What I have to do?

Still don't know which catalyst I have to download (from driverheaven downloads)?
Try to instal newest one - 8.3, but I cant install.

Can anyone be so generous and help me.
