mobilty x2300 problem w/ sketchup (openGL1.5)

my vaio cr35 is using t8100 and radeon mobility x2300 in vista x32..
and im using google sketchup, a 3d modeling program that utilises openGL 1.5
the problem is, it has to wait 1-2sec everytime i pan/orbit/view my model around.. that i have to turn off the hardware acceleration..
and i have installed catalyst 8.3 using modtool, doesnt fix the problem

:edit: installed 7.12, still no result..

how to make my x2300 run openGL 1.5?
any help would be appreciated
