Ati Radeon Mobility x700

Hey guys, i just registered because i'm puzzled on how i should update the driver for my video card, i use a laptop and i really have no idea how to update the drivers for it, i've been looking around but no clue how i should do this ..

Anyways my laptop model is Satellite m70-233 (Toshiba) the Ati Radeon Mobility x700 graphic card is 256 mb, i'm really hoping i will atleast be able to run Age of Conan when it comes out on the lowest settings for the least, ohh and i do use Xp, i think home edition not really sure.

Any help is well appreciated .

Dabbzikjappz.

Btw my driver version is something like 8.162.0.0 and the driver date is 3.8.2005 ..
So it is VERY old..

Hi there!

The best way for you to update your drivers is to get the desktop drivers from ATI/AMD and use our mod tool to mod them. So that they would work with your chip.
Get the tool here : http://www.hardwareheaven.com/modtool.php

And on that page there are step by step instructions so I recommend you to read them first.

heey, i just did this by myself, rebooted and everything.. i extracted them to the ati support folder, and i used the mod tool and modified it there, the 8.4 driver but.. Now i just restarted but when i go to profiles, to my graphic card, and check the driver version it's still the same old one.. do i have to uninstall the old ones now or something? I got no error messages.

you usually uninstall any older drivers first then install the new drivers.... what does windows tell you about the drivers date?
