Set External as Primary Display on Macbook Pro

Hi everyone,

I have a Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro with a Mobility Radeon X1600.
I run XP Pro via Boot Camp mostly for gaming, and since I have an external LCD, I would like to use it as my primary display.
The problem is, I have not been able to do this, no matter what I try...

There was no option for this with the drivers Apple provided, so I installed the latest Mobility Catalysts from ATI. Same thing, although I did get a nice control panel.

So I searched a bit more and found the mobility mod too here:

With it, I installed the latest Desktop Catalysts from ATI. Still though, when I right-click my LCD in Display Properties, the set as primary option is grayed out.

What givesÉ!

Any help would be great, thanks!

Has anybody at least had, or heard of this problem? Even without a solution, I think I'd feel a little better :P
