ATI Radeon Mobility HD 2700 Scaling Problem

Hello,

i am using a FSC AMILO XI 2550 with Vista Home Premium (17,1 display with 1920 x 1200 resolution).
The graphics driver delivered by FSC does not support the resolution 1440 x 900, also it is compatible with the display ratio. I would like ot use this resolution for office apllications and mailing.

Therefore I modded the Catalyst 8.7 display driver with Mobility Modder V1.1.1.0 and installed it without any problems. The graphics device was detetected as ATI Radeon Mobility HD 2600 XT. This should be no problem, because HD 2600 XT and HD 2700 are compatible.

The modded graphics driver works fine with most offered resoultions, but with 1440 x 900 and some of the higher resolutions the scaling to full screen does not work. I have tried the three options in the Catalyst Control Center, but changing has not have any effect. I alos tried the modded Catalyst driver 8.6, but the problem still remains.

However, the scaling of 1280 x 800 to full screen works fine.

Has anyone similar problems or any idee for solving this problem?
