ati mobility radeon HD3450 driver

Hi everyone! I bought a dell studio laptop 1535 and it came with absolutely no support for any device for Win XP; I can't find any drivers on the net and the laptop is absolutely useless: no internet connection, no sound ,video etc. Can please someone help me at least with the video driver? I've downloaded the ati mobility radeon hd 3450 driver from the producer's site (ati catalyst 8.8 and earlier ) but the sistem does not recognize it. No need to say that the video card is the one mentioned above...

You bought a laptop from Dell and it doesn't work??

Send it back. Problem solved (probably).

Get a replacement or a refund.

Or, if you are irate, maybe an upgrade :P

i have HP Pavilion dv5 with radeon 3450 hd and same problem.

also cant make it works.
have modified the original ati catalyst driver, but cant instal. Setup cant recognize the ati card...

Hi there. Do this at your own risk. I take no responsibility but this is how to use mobility modder as Laptop manufacturers don't supply graphics drivers so you need to use mobility modder as suggested earlier but you have to do things in the right order.

1 Download mobility modder & install it.
2 Download the latest CCC (Catalyst Control Center) currently 9.12 from say AMD Game.
3 run the extraction program but Cancel when the install program starts.
4 extraction should be in folder c:/ATI/support
5 run mobility modder and click browse to the folder where CCC was extracted to i.e. c:/ATI/support
6 Button "Modify" should now be clickable so click it and let mobility modder do its work.
7 Go to c:/ATI/support and double click the setup.exe
8 You should now have full 9.12 CCC which you can check on CCC information center - graphics version - Catalyst Version.

Good Luck!

P.S. I recommend setting the following for best gaming performance with the HD3450 as it is a pretty weak graphics card. I know I have one!:

Anti Aliasing - Application Controlled (filter Box)
Anisotropic filtering - Application Controlled
Catalyst AI - Standard or Advanced - you need all the help you can get!
Mipmap - Performance
Vertical Refresh (V-Sync - Off unless application specifies
Adaptive AA- hmmm on but 50/50 on this one - set it to performance
Tripple Buffering - ON

I recommend downloading AMD Fusion Utility for Mobility from here:

I also recommend downloading Riva Tuner. don't use it (as you can't) but you can then run D3DOverrider.

All of the above settings /turned on before playing a game can help improve frame rates & your gaming experience!
