??? ATi Mobility Radeon 2400 HD problem

Hello,
I am trying to install video drivers for my Asus F3SR laptop and I cannot do it.

I already tried to modify driver with your tool Mobility Modder (http://www.hardwareheaven.com/modtool.php) but after I do everything you write, it always says the same info which is:
"setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware of software configuration. Please make sure you have the required hardware of software"

and when I press OK, it quits.

Can anyone help me with that?

I have ASUS F3SR laptop and I am trying to install it in Windows XP Professional English SP2

thank you very much

the vga safe is the default driver that is used if there aren't any drivers installed.

And you can't update that safe driver, via device manager, with the modded ati driver?

Then it seems that the inf files don't have the information needed to get the drivers working. Can you post the device id of that card.

Re: ATi Mobility Radeon 2400 HD problem

I am having a very similar problem with my Asus X70S series laptop version F7SR. Downgraded to XP as Vista is useless. It has a radeon HD 2400 card or chipset, however you want to refer to it. It just will not install!!

I have a word document with screen shots of what i have tried. How do i put it on here for people to see and guide me?

??? Re: ATi Mobility Radeon 2400 HD problem

Has anyone had any luck with this modder tool for the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400??

I have followed every guide, had our local IT guys at work look at it, and I still have to put up with Vista. Can someone please help me get back to XP?

My laptop is an Asus Pro71Sr.
