Hello,

i have bought an 22" Widescrenn TFT (Chimei 222H) with a resoultion of 1680 x 1050.
Now i want to connect it with my notebook with a VGA on a Radeon 9700 Mobility (my notebook has no DVI ... ). I have modded the 8.8 driver and installed it with no problem, but the Chimei does not show the resolution the correct way.

My main PC (Vista) with a 3650 has no problems with driver version 8.8, same cable etc. .

Here is a small grapic with shows the problem:



The red box shows the resolution and the black box is the TFT. Thats means, that i can scroll left and right. The Picture is somehow to big, or strechted twise or...
I think, that my Notebook does not recognize the screen as a widescreen, because i have to select:
Display Options -> List all possible modes (including panning modes).
to choose 1680 x 1050


My Notebook:

Acer Travelmate 4001
CPU: 1,5 ghz Dothan Pentium M
graphic: Radeon 9700 M
OS: XP SP3
Notebook screen: 1280 x 800

TFT: 1680 x 1050
