mobility radeon x600 Trouble with OpenGL using Omega drivers - HELP

Id love some help with this!

I am having trouble getting any version of omega drivers for my ATI Mobility Radeon x600 (gateway, XP, laptop) to run in OpenGL, for playing CounterStrike 1.6. I needed to dump the old ATI drivers for playing Neverwinter...Omega (3.8.442) fixed that problem fine and all games were running great. But now that I am back to playing CounterStrike I cant get it to stay in Open GL mode... it either bumps me to software mode or I can run it in Direct3D mode but it glitches or hangs at critical moments making the game almost unplayable.

I know this is a common issue people have but am woefully inept with driver manipulation. Perhaps some kind soul could take pitty on me and talk me through a fix?

I fixed it actually... found and installed an old driver from omega (2.5.51) the non-Counterstrike-optimized option. It works fine for CS and still runs my other applications just great.
