modded hd radeon 3650 install

hi, i am new in this forum and wanted to ask a small noob question. i have downloaded the latest driver of ati. as my notbook from sony needs to be installed with a modded driver, i followed the step-by-step .... and modded the driver. now my question. indeed nooby.....^^ i have first to uninstall the older driver of ati , reboot notebook, and then install the modded driver right??
