Lenovo T60p can't do native 1680x1050 on external?
I've been trying for days to get my T60p to display 1680x1050 on my external flat screen... (since that's its native resolution) to no avail. The video card is a Mobility FireGL 5200, and the laptop is running XP.
The OEM video drivers *do* list 1680x1050 as an available option. When selected however, the image is fuzzy since the card is actually sending 1400x1050 to the monitor (I verify this by going into the flat screen menu and checking the actual resolution it is displaying). This is driving me nuts. When I select 1920x1080, the flat screen reports 1280x720 (and scrolls). If I select 1800x1440, the monitor syncs up at 1920x1080 *sigh*. I don't want 1920x1080, the point is just that the resolution I select in the Display Properties is *not* the one being sent to the flat screen (even though it reports through EDID that the resolution is supported). I've searched a ton on this (it's how I found this site - I've tried Mobility Modder - no joy). I figured if nobody knows the answer on this forum, then it probably can't be done... Any hints? TIA |
