Can't force AA in "The Longest Journey" whit a mobility radeon x1450

I've a laptop whit this game installed, it has no options for AA and 've tried to force it trought CCC.

My drivers have been modded whit DH Mobility Modder, those are the latest version, CCC 8.12. I go to 3D section, uncheck use aplication settings configure the AA level press ok and start the game, but there's no difference at all. I had also tried whit my older drivers 7.12 also moded but I have not tried whit the official drivers (whic have not been updated for 2 or 3 years). Games whit AA option included just works fine.
I've also tried to force anisotropic but result looks the same

Sorry for my english and thanks for any sugestion.

Edit: Forgot to say, I'm running under windows XP SP3 and the game is working in windows95 compatibility mode.

Does the game even support AA? If it doesn't in any way, then it might be impossible to force it. Now, if I remember crrectly, only the characters are 3D models, the rest are 2D, right?

Yes, you are right it has prerendered backgrounds and 3d models (like Grim Fandango or Monkey Island 4) and the game itself doesn't support AA.

I've just found a patch for ATI card wich makes possible to force AA and AF. It works for the 4cd version, it's supossed to work only whit the english version but mine is spanish and works, just don't replace all the files, only replace game.exe and DX_module.dll, then force AA trought CCC. I suposse english users can just replace all the files (but I think that changes the font of the text).
